Founded in 1948 by a group of war heroes, Norths Cricket Cairns quickly earned its reputation as the “people’s club.” From those humble beginnings, the club has grown into a powerhouse in Far North Queensland, with a proud legacy of excellence both on and off the field. Today, Norths boasts 7 senior teams and 5 junior teams, with over 150 registered players who carry forward the club’s tradition of sportsmanship and community.

Norths Cricket Cairns has a proud history of success, with 6 First Grade Premierships in the last 11 years and numerous Second Grade Premierships. Our players have achieved representative honors at various levels, and our development plans ensure that we continue to build on our legacy of excellence.

Our club is proud of its deep ties to the community and its role in developing cricketers who excel at all levels.
Our first-grade men’s side clinched the grand final in the 2022/2023 season, continuing a proud tradition of success. Our women’s team has dominated their competition, winning the championship for the last four consecutive years. Across all grades, Norths teams have consistently brought home honours, demonstrating the depth of talent and commitment within our club
